The Short Tips For Being a Good Comic Assistant
a.k.a the things I learned after it's too late

1. Watch your belongings.
If you're planning to bring your own tools, make sure you can remember how many tools that you have brought and identify each of them. It's better for you to write your names on it too, in case your employer or other assistants use similar tools.

Also, there's a possibility of working non-stop for consecutive hours. It can be really tiring for some people so check your belongings and keep them in one noticeable place before you become too tired to do that.

I left my cellphone at ~scarlet-dragonchild's house, and it's still there as we speak. I don't regret it though, my life never been this peaceful since I got my first cellphone.

2. Watch your drinks.
If you happened to work with manual media involving water such as watercolor or water-soluble pencils and crayons, make sure you're using different kind of container for the water than the one you and your fellow artists use for the drinks. And don't put them near to each other.

I dipped my brush on my drinking water and almost ruined ~dear-summer's earl grey.
